Who killed Digital Transformation? A modern industrial murder mystery, was a presentation i gave on May 28, I had the honor of presenting at the Future Manufacturing Technologies Expo 2019 in Malmö, Sweden.
The event did include an exhibition which was focus heavily on additive manufacturing, but also many digital solutions and services providers.
The speakers were organized into three tracks: Industrial IOT & Data, Automation & Smart Factory, and 3D Printing Live.
Featured speakers included Anna-Karin Arvidsson (Senior Director Manufacturing & Logistics at Volvo Cars), Fredrik Tukk (Digital Innovation Architect Maersk Drilling) and Saeid Esmaeilzadeh (CEO of Hidden Dreams) among many others.
For participants interested in a more hands-on approach, Protolabs offered a 3D printing workshop during the conference.
Keep your Digital Transformation alive
I am grateful to the organizers who offered me the chance to participate as an independent expert.
Being given the “graveyard shift”, I took this opportunity to approach my presentation as a murder mystery, based on my real and recent experience.
Despite a lot of the hype around anything which uses the terms digital or smart. Many initiatives do fail. I do not believe that it is a bad thing and just normal. But I regret that nobody seems to talk about it. Which is why I decided to do exactly that.
Because I want that others can learn from my experience. But also do ask if their efforts are going into the right direction. And if they are able to find out keep it alive.
Therefore I created this modern industrial murder mystery. Where I hope you enjoy to find out:
Who do you think killed Digital Transformation?
But also ask yourself:
Will your Digital Transformation be next?
